Our Happenings

Changes are happening in 2013 for the Marotta family! We say goodbye to Cape Verde in April, then head to Washington, D.C. for a couple months while Tom receives training for his next assignment. After a month of vacation, Tom will leave for Baghdad for a year (with several visits home) while CJ and Emily will live in St. Petersburg in our new house. After that? Who knows!

Friday

In Portuguese, the days of the week are like this:

Segunda-feira - Monday
Terça-feira - Tuesday
Quarta-feira - Wednesday
Quinta-feira - Thursday
Sexta-feira - Friday
Sábado - Saturday
Domingo - Sunday

It's confusing, because Monday is the "second" day (segunda), Tuesday is the third day, etc.   On Thursday you're like....which day is it? Fourth? No, it's fifth.   Luckily, there's this pop song that helps me keep track.  It's called Sexta-feira, or Friday.  It's really catchy, and the chorus says "sexta-feira" over and over, and it helps me remember that Friday is the sixth day.  Anyway....
